There are many tests that clothing and textile buyers can get conducted on the products that they are buying. Apart from visual inspections to confirm the dimensions, sizes and identify any visual issues; the following tests should be brought into your Clothing/ Textile Supply Chain quality control process

Attachment Strength Test
Here force is applied to component parts of the clothing, say a shirt button. The object is to determine the durability of the button of the shirt.
Tear Strength Test
This test determines the amount of force needed to rip the fabric.
Tensile Strength Test
Measures the amount of force it takes to rapture the fabric.
Seam Strength Test
Determines the seam efficiency of different fabrics.
Random Tumble Pilling Test
This test evaluates if normal wear and care result in the fuzz or pill of fabrics. This affects the visual appeal to consumers.
Dimensional Stability Test
This test determines to what degree the fabric will shrink when using a consumer washer and dryer
Colour Fastness of Chlorine and Non Chlorine Bleach Test
This test evaluates the colour change in fabric when it is exposed to Chlorine/ Non Chlorine based Bleach.
Colourfastness to Crocking Test
This test checks for the transfer of colour from wet or dry fabric to a white cloth.
Colourfastness to Light Test
This test establishes if a piece of fabric will fade when it is exposed to light.
Flammability Test
This test determines how long it takes for a fabric sample to burn after it is introduced to a flame in a controlled environment.
Fibre Analysis Test
This test examines fibers, which have been extracted from a sample piece of fabric, to identify the types of materials that have been used to make a piece of cloth.
